Do you know Christ as your personal Savior?
Have you ever received the Lord Jesus Christ into your life?
Realize That God Loves You
God loves you and has a plan for your life.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
The Bible Says That All Men Are Sinners Our sins have separated us from God.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
God.” Romans 3:23
God made man in His own image. He gave man the ability to choose right from wrong. We choose to sin. Our sins keep us from God.
God’s Word Also Says That Sin Must Be Paid For
“For the wages of sin is death....”
Romans 6:23
Wages means payment. The payment of our sin is death and hell, separation from God forever. If we continue in our sin, we shall die without Christ and be without God forever.
The Good News Is That Christ Paid For Our Sins
1. ADMIT you have sinned against God.
Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
James 2:10, “Whosoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend in one point,
he is guilty of all.”
I John 1:8, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
2. REALIZE God is a holy, sin-hating God.
Habakkuk 1:13, “Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity.”
Psalm 5:4, “For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness; neither
shall evil dwell with thee.”
3. REALIZE God’s holy nature demands that all sin must be punished.
Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death.”
Revelation 20:14-15, “Death and Hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Revelation 14:10-11 “And he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone...and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night.”
4. REALIZE that though God hates your sin and has to punish it, He loves you so much that He came down to the earth and received the punishment that you as a sinner deserved when He suffered and died on the cross.
All of our sins were laid on Christ on the cross. He paid our sin debt for us. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, and He arose from the dead. He is alive forevermore.
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.”
Isaiah 53:5 “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities.”
I Peter 2:22, 24 “Who did no sin... (but) bare our sins in His own body on the tree (cross).”
5. REALIZE You must trust Jesus’ death and shed blood alone to save you from Hell and take you to Heaven, not anything else.
If you trust being good, doing good works, keeping the ten commandments, attending church regularly, or being faithful in your religion to get you to Heaven, you will certainly go to Hell. These things are good, but they could never get you to Heaven. Only Christ’s death satisfied God (Isaiah 53:11). We are saved by what Jesus did when He died on the cross, and that alone. If our goodness could get us into Heaven, then WHY DID JESUS DIE!? Galatians 2:21, “For if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”
Romans 3:20, “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight.”
Titus 3:5, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to
His mercy He saved us.”
Isaiah 64:6, “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags.”
6. REALIZE Eternal life (going to Heaven) is a GIFT from God to be received, not earned.
Romans 6:23, “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
John 1:12, “As many as received Him (Jesus), to them gave He power to
become the sons of God.”
7. REALIZE that to receive eternal life and be saved from Hell, you must ASK JESUS to save you. We Must Personally Pray And Receive Christ By Faith.
The Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13
Pray And Receive Christ As Your Savior
Lord, I know that I am a sinner. If I died today, I would not go to heaven. Forgive my sin,
come into my life and be my Savior. Help me live for you from this day forward.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
The Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13
New Life
Everlasting life begins when we receive Christ as our Savior.
* When you ask to be saved, two things are absolutely necessary:
Acts 20:21b, “Repentance toward God, and Faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”
REPENTANCE is to have a change of mind about sin, to change your mind from thinking your sin is not so bad and to realize that your sin is a horrible offense to a holy God. You must be willing to honestly admit your sinful condition. And you must turn from anything that is keeping you from coming to Christ. In Luke 13:3 Jesus said, “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
FAITH means to trust (depend upon) Jesus Christ alone to save you from sin and Hell and take you to Heaven. If you can mean it from your heart, tell God in your own words something like this:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned against You. I believe that the Bible teaches that You are holy and hate sin and that I deserve to die and go to Hell. But Jesus, I believe the Bible, which says You love me. I believe that You died for me in my place and rose again, that I might receive the gift of eternal life. I am willing to turn from my sin and completely trust You to forgive me. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save me.”
To pray a prayer like that without really meaning it will not do a thing for you. You will still go to Hell. But if you have trusted Jesus Christ, He has saved you. You can be sure that you will go to Heaven when you take your last breath and that you have “...hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began” (Titus 1:2). Friend, Jesus wants you to be saved (born again) right now! II Corinthians 6:2, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation.” You could die today. Proverbs 27:1, “Boast not thyself of tomorrow, for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.” Don’t let anyone or anything keep you from being saved today. Mark 8:36, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
